03-12 Chevy & GMC

There are two different types of heater boxes for the 03-12 Chevy & GMC trucks. There is a Delphi & Visteon box. The only way to determine the difference is visually. Follow the below instructions to access the view needed to make that determination.

1. Open your glove box and clear the contents.
2. You are going to squeeze the side walls of your glovebox inwards; you will then pull it down.
3. You will then have the similar or exact view to one of the below images. This will allow you to determine which box you have.

The Visteon box has no vertical ribs on the walls; it is a smooth surface as seen in the picture on the left. The Delphi picture on the right you will notice has vertical ribs on it. 

The below images are how the two boxes will look sitting outside the vehicle. Notice the other big difference is that the Visteon box mode section has two pieces as circled in blue on the below left picture.  The appearance itself is smooth no ribbed walls.

The below image here is a Delphi box as it appears outside of a vehicle. Notice the ribbed walls.
